At their stunning location on Mon Plaisir in Etten-Leur, Konings Fysio & Training offers high-end training and physiotherapy services for entrepreneurs of all levels. Whether you prefer to train indoors or outdoors, this location has everything you need to provide an optimal training environment. For the design and layout of their extensive facility, they turned to us, and we’re proud to have contributed to this impressive space!
At Konings Fysio & Training, you can benefit from both physiotherapy and professional training programmes, ensuring that clients are well-guided at every stage of their fitness journey. Marty Konings, owner of Konings Fysio & Training, describes how his passion for health and sports, which began at an early age, led to the founding of his business in 2019. The gym, which opened at its current location in January 2023, was previously an old car dealership. Marty enthusiastically shares how he transformed the building into a modern, functional gym:
"This used to be an old car dealership. There used to be cars inside. But when I saw this building, I immediately thought: this is a beautiful space with plenty of light and large windows. It feels very dynamic."
After a complete renovation, the building was fully designed and furnished according to Marty’s vision. The gym is now a space where clients can work on their strength and vitality, offering a wide range of training options. Marty opted for a comprehensive indoor gym as well as an outdoor gym, providing a versatile fitness experience.
The indoor gym: everything you need
To serve their clients in the best way possible, the indoor gym is equipped with an extensive range of equipment, making it a paradise for both beginners and advanced athletes. Here you will find advanced pulley systems that allow for versatile strength training, along with a sprint track for various exercises. Additionally, there are multiple half racks and a wide selection of benches, weights, and accessories to train every muscle group.
"We chose Lifemaxx because they’ve been taking great care of us for years," says Marty. "The communication is very close, and we have detailed discussions about everything, from the big picture down to the smallest details. Lifemaxx helped us design the layout down to the square metre, resulting in a functional and beautiful space."
An outdoor gym that inspires
What truly sets Konings Fysio & Training apart is their impressive outdoor gym. Training outdoors provides that extra boost, with fresh air and the space to move even more intensely. The showpiece of the outdoor area is the Crossmaxx® container, which not only serves as storage for training equipment but is also equipped with a Crossmaxx® Outdoor rig, including two squat and press stations, along with accessories like wall ball targets.
The container is fully stocked with training equipment, such as kettlebells, barbells, benches, dumbbells, resistance bands, and more, allowing for smooth and efficient workouts. With everything close at hand, setting up a training session becomes easier, and the workout flow is enhanced.
Collaboration with Lifemaxx: from concept to reality
Marty is very pleased with the collaboration with Lifemaxx in designing both the indoor and outdoor gym. "The great thing is that they think along with you on a large scale, but also on a micro level," he says. "They help decide what fits well and looks good in your space, translating that into a functional and aesthetic area. Every square metre is functionally and beautifully filled with fitness equipment and materials."
Marty particularly values the fast response times and the personal service provided by the Lifemaxx team:
"What’s really important to us is the customer experience. How does the client perceive the equipment, and how do they feel in the space? Lifemaxx advised us on how to create the right atmosphere without incurring excessive costs."
'We are very satisfied'
Marty concludes with a look to the future: "At the moment, we don’t plan on opening another location. Our greatest strength lies in our small but exceptional team of professional, dedicated, and genuine trainers. Together, we create an atmosphere that resonates with our clients, something that’s not easily replicated."
However, Marty does have the ambition to expand the current location in the future. "Our main goal is to keep our loyal clients happy. New clients are welcome, but only when we’re able to expand our capacity without compromising on the quality of service."
At Konings Fysio & Training, the client is at the centre of everything, and this is reflected in the careful choices made when designing their facilities.
