In Nieuwegein, GoFysio and Athletic Health are working together towards a shared mission: promoting rehabilitation and vitality. With 17 years of experience as a physiotherapy practice, GoFysio decided in 2020 to take a new direction by founding Athletic Health. This initiative was driven by the shift in physiotherapy from hands-on treatments to exercise therapy. Thanks to this close collaboration between the two brands, patients can continue their training at Athletic Health after completing their physiotherapy at GoFysio, while any injuries can be swiftly addressed with tailored support.

In June 2023, an opportunity arose to expand their fitness facility. After discussions with various suppliers, they chose Lifemaxx to design and supply their new facility. "After a long search and conversations with several suppliers, we eventually went with Lifemaxx. The communication with Lifemaxx immediately impressed us. And when you consider the high quality and look of the products they offer, the choice was quickly made,” says Jop, who is responsible for the management of Athletic Health.

From 3D Design to a complete fitness space

For this expansion, Lifemaxx provided both the design of the new gym and the supply of fitness equipment. The design was based on a 3D layout, ensuring the space was utilised as functionally as possible. The materials supplied and installed included:

A complete Crossmaxx® XL freestanding rig with integrated storage.
A full set of Lifemaxx PU dumbbells, including suitable racks/towers.
A green sprint track with a power sled for conditioning training.
An extensive collection of free weights such as bumper plates, barbells, slam balls, and accessories.

More than just training

At Athletic Health, the focus is not only on physical rehabilitation but also on vitality. They offer guidance for individuals with issues such as fatigue, burnout, and hyperventilation, while also working with top athletes. Clients can also book in for fitness tests and bike fittings. The new setup allows them to provide a wide range of services in a space that is both functional and professional. "We are very pleased with the results and are really enjoying it!" concludes Jop.
