Have we reached our goal? YES! We are proud to say that on the 29th of October, we have handed over a cheque for 7500,- Euro to Pink Ribbon. The 70 exclusive Crossmaxx® Pink Ribbon bars and the individual donations have ensured that we almost reached our goal and we have rounded this up to our target amount. This amount has been made possible by you and we are very grateful for that!
Every year, the lives of more than 17 thousand Dutch women - and their environment - change dramatically because of the diagnosis of breast cancer. Because of the treatments that are undergone, but also because of the uncertainty that the disease entails. Breast cancer is a disease with many, often unfamiliar faces, which is profoundly life-changing. Pink Ribbon finances research and projects in the field of treatment, aftercare and long-term effects of breast cancer. Do you also want to contribute? Because we work in the fitness industry, health is a big part of our daily activities. Partly for this reason we would like to dedicate ourselves to a charity that is all about health.
We chose Pink Ribbon because we believe it is extremely important to support the financing of research and projects in the field of treatment, aftercare and long-term effects of breast cancer.
"Unfortunately, cancer is indispensable"
Denise Doolhof, co-owner of Lifemaxx: "The reason that we would like to do this for Pink Ribbon is because cancer is unfortunately unthinkable. We sadly enough all lose loved ones, often due to cancer. What many people forget is the tough mental struggle. Even after the cancer has been overcome, years of pain, and operations to regain the feeling of femininity follow.. The screening only starts at the age of 50. From my own experience I know that self-examination is not carried out enough, is experienced as scary (what if you feel something!) or is not done right. Perhaps we can contribute in the long term to a decrease in the age for the screening and so that the new techniques for the mammography can be developed even faster!”
Limited edition pink bar
Especially for Pink Ribbon we have developed a limited edition 15 kg pink Crossmaxx® competition bar for all strong women! We donate 50% of the revenue of these bars to Pink Ribbon. The pink competition bar has the same features as our LMX44 Crossmaxx® Olympic competition women bar (black / chrome). The bar has a length of 201 cm and weighs 15 kg.
With this bar you can not only break your own PRs, but you also support a really good cause!
